THE POWER OF THE MATERIALIZED INSTANT
This exhibition emerged not as a project, but as a calling. The same restless curiosity that led the artist to explore landscapes and delve into silences now moves him to cross the border of being and recognize himself.
The camera as a bridge between what is seen and what is felt. Each work is a printed instant, a fragment of experience transmuted into matter. Not just landscapes, but presences. An invitation to silence, to pause, to perception.
CHALLENGING REFLECTIONS invites the viewer to look at what appears external and recognize the essence of what vibrates within. Allow the image to reverberate in the body, like a memory awakening. Accept the challenge of reflecting—and being reflected. Remember, in the face of the visible, that which is invisible: we are Nature looking at itself.
ASAPH CLETO is an explorer of worlds—both external and internal. Born in São Paulo, he sensed from an early age that there was something behind forms: a silent presence, something unseen but felt.
A trip around the world with a GoPro in hand was the decisive connection with audiovisual expression. A way to translate into images what couldn't be translated into words. He made this his professional path, where photography emerged as a natural consequence.
Inevitably, his exploring soul led him beyond extreme landscapes. He delved into silences to explore his inner world, guided by an inner listening that doesn't follow maps. Today, his work invites the same gesture that moves him: looking at the world not to capture it, but to recognize himself in it.
